Clare Kuznik – Holy Communion

I am a Christian who produces art. My work is accessible to a secular audience. I have produced images inspired by the Bible.

The blood of Christ shed for us is symbolised in Holy Communion, in the wine. The body of Christ in the bread. Christ’s body is given for us, his blood shed for us. He reaches out and is available to all. This work is a hand embroidery, free hand drawn on cloth. It has been placed on a stretcher; so the main creases in the cloth no longer exist. This feels an appropriate way for this work to be viewed.
